I'm Oscar.

I've spent over 15 years building People and Talent functions inside organizations that were scaling fast and couldn't afford to get it wrong. As Head of People Operations at Equilibrium Energy, I was the company's sole People leader for three and a half years - building the entire employee lifecycle from scratch while the company grew to a Series B scale, hiring 80+ people along the way. The experience helped me empathize with founders and understand the tradeoffs required to build a business efficiently.

Before that, I spent almost eight years at Meta, where I led recruiting strategy and infrastructure for the company's Diversity & Development Programs - managing a team of 7 managers and 81 recruiters who delivered over 1,150 hires a year. My time at Meta informed my staunch belief that people-managers are the most important levers to maintaining a healthy company culture and gave me a front-row seat of what high-quality recruiting, performance enablement, and HR policy looked like.

I've always been drawn to mission-driven organizations and love environments where I get to build alongside brilliant colleagues. In this practice, I hope to build off the best practices and instincts I've gleaned over the last 15 years in order to  build the infrastructure a company actually needs, at the size it actually is.
